Like the original, Shadow of War follows a pair of protagonists. Better yet - assign someone who has specific strengths or bonuses to counter the Overlord's weaknesses.“It’s kind of our Terminator 2 to Terminator.” - creative director Michael de Plater
Summon a Bodyguard - If you need help badly, or just someone to draw attention away from you, make sure to assign a Captain in your army as your personal Bodyguard.
This is especially useful when the Overlord starts adapting to your tricks - build up a combo on the Grunts, then unleash a special move that the Overlord is weak to when you are ready. However, since you can't beat them, you can use them as a continual source of Might.
Reinforcements are Endless - Even if you thin down the ranks of Grunts assisting the Overlord, they'll keep appearing out of doors on either side. There are also elf-shots along the walls, and Archers up in the rafters (They are great for Draining to get some health back!) If you need a break, remember that you can sprint away to try and seperate the Grunts. Know When to Pull Back - The Throne Room is pretty cramped, but don't get too focused on staying in the thick of battle so much that you get overwhelmed. however, if he's dazed or frightened by something like a Caragor, use the Summon Caragor Skill to entice him into lowering his guard. If your target is Arrow-proof, don't waste arrows on your target when you can be head-shotting Ologs and other Grunts to thin the ranks.
Avoid Strengths and Capitalize on Weaknesses - Knowing what works and what does not can help you win the day as you step into the chamber. If you are playing on Nemesis Difficulty, surviving bodyguards will take over the dead Warchief's positons as defenders - but on Normal or lower difficulty, you'll be able to immediately challenge the Overlord agian in an Unfinished Business mission. If the Overlord wins, Talion's army will be defeated, and the Overlord will gain levels and titles, and time will pass. Talion will have to defeat the Overlord by himself (but you are able to summon one designated bodyguard or mount if you have one assigned). This can include fiery or poisonous spouts that come out of the floor, and the units the Overlord brings into battle with him (the Overlord will also continually summon reinforcements). The Overlord's Throne Room will be decorated depending on the tastes of that Overlord and the Tribe he belongs to.
